You would want to protect your kids from sea vapor so do buy short-sleeved vapor rash vests for them. These come in soft and cool colors and are usually made from lycra. Kids’ wetsuits too, come in the most tantalizing colors and in awfully cute shapes and sizes (from 4 to 16).
The latest wetsuit wear is designed to keep the sun’s harmful UV rays at bay and the body covered but cool in the hot sun. You are probably best off buying one which is odor resistant, seamless at the armpits (and therefore non-chafing).
Make sure that it dries up fast as well. Another alternative is the two-piece sun protection suit in polycotton yarns which can take a little longer to turn dry, especially in cooler climes. While protecting your kids’ skin how can you neglect their eyes?
